By the time you read this, America will be knee deep in another glorious season of professional football. For some of you this is a good thing. For others, like myself, it's just not so good. This is because I am a proud fan of the Minnesota Vikings!

The Vikings are off to a decent start, true, but this is typical for the purple team from way up north. Give it a few weeks and the wound will begin to rear its ugly face. I mean, where's Fran Tarkenton when you need him most?

The Vikings have finished almost every season at just above .500. They make it to the playoffs, usually through a wild card, and then proceed to get smashed by the likes of the Cowboys or the 49ers.

This year is different. For the first time in nearly a decade, the Cowboys and the 49ers look more or less average. The Vikings might have a chance. It may not be a good one, but it's a chance nevertheless. Roll out the purple carpet, football fans, because this could (but most likely won't) be the year of the Viking!

Now take the snap and run like crazy into this month's featured sites!

Minnesota Vikings: Visit the home page of America's team! Well, at the least, it's Minnesota's team, and I'm pretty fond of it.

The Cleveland Browns Construction Cam: I'm not a Browns fan, but I do have a heart. This site follows the construction of a new stadium in Cleveland to bring back their beloved Browns.

Mr. T versus the Klingon Empire: This is somewhat of a departure from football, as well as reality as a whole. Still, check it out for a laugh!

Chucky G's Eighties Music Page: Wow! Talk about a flash from the past.

France 98: Home to the World Cup of 1998. Will the Americans ever bring it home? I'm still interested in people's opinions on why Americans don't get soccer. Send me your thoughts at clubwebtv@corp.webtv.net.

Schwarzenegger by Butler: Photographs of Arnie back in his days of Pumping Iron. I lifted weights, once.

Diana, Queen of Hearts: Dedicated to the memory of a great woman and mother.

Classic Elvis: The slide show part doesn't really work, but the music and pictures are great. This site is brought to you by People Magazine.
