"You know, I've never had barbequed beer before. If you're looking for recipes, try the Spicy & Hot Cooking Page."

August is the month when everyone attempts to leave town for a few days, or even a few weeks, if their boss really does (or really doesn't) like them. It's a chance to get away from it all and relax in the sun. It's every American's duty to relax at some point this month. I can't think of a better place for me to do that than in my new apartment in the City by the Bay.

Over the past few weeks I rediscovered that I hate moving! To cut down on the headaches, I moved all of the contents of my old apartment to the new apartment in one day. I just backed the truck up to the garage, tilted the building sideways, and emptied the contents in true garbage truck fashion!

It's not the actual moving to a new location that I hate as much as the aching back and the scraped knuckles. Narrow hallways and large vinyl chairs just don't go together. I think they overlooked this a hundred years ago when plastering fresh walls throughout the city. Now that I'm done, I can relax on my couch and begin the adjustment period for myself and my cat, who for the time being prefers hanging out under the bed shivering in fear to relaxing. I know what I prefer!

With that in mind, stretch out and enjoy this month's sites!

*INFEP: A site dedicated to an international network of actors, models, musicians, comedians, producers and other entertainment professionals. An extensive search tool allows viewers to search the world for people in most fields of entertainment. I'm pretty sure they all live in Los Angeles.

Total Baseball: This site has baseball, baseball, and more baseball! You might say it's totally baseball -- they did.

Magnum, p.i.: This is my favorite television show of all time. It's got it all: the beaches, the sand, the sun, and a super fast Ferrari! It includes some great sound files. "Oh my god Magnum!"

*TV Hole: A funny page that tells it like it is. The world of television is made more entertaining thanks to this clever little site. This is a must see for you armchair warriors out there, but don't take it personally.

Biography: If you love this show as much as I do, you will enjoy this page. It reminds me of why I chose to major in history in college. Plus, it really fills in a lot of holes left by the college lifestyle!

The Sushi World Guide: This is entertainment of a more culinary nature, but a neat site nevertheless.

The Monkees: The official home page of America's favorite clowns. It's full of great information, including an extensive sound library. I really think I could have been a Monkee!

Ducati: This site is for everyone else who for some reason or another thinks he can ride a motorcycle. My friend Rob is one of these, and Italian to boot! I'm sure I can find a Harley-Davidson site next month.

Bell Labs Text-to-Speech Synthesis: This is by far the strangest thing I've ever come across. Some of the things you can do here are downright creepy! The site's a little unstable, so you may have to try a few different times before you get through.
