Greetings from your WebTV Networks Evangelists: chief evangelist John Lee, and his team of Tim, Scott, Jen and Alison!

You may wonder what a WebTV Networks Evangelist does. Well, like many high-technology evangelists in Silicon Valley we support our product by making ourselves available to talk about it! Our focus is to reach the web site developer community and help them design great sites for Club WebTV members.

How do we do our job? Last month, Bob Kernen from Programming told you about the great kids content he is in charge of here at WebTV Networks. While his job is to find exceptional kids content, our job is to work with those web site designers to make sure that their sites load fast and look great on the WebTV Network.

Not only do we help the site designers directly with information and tips, but we also promote tools and information for professional web designers that help make their jobs easier. Your WebTV Networks Evangelists go to industry conventions to demonstrate WebTV Network design tips and tools. The evangelist's job isn't done until these tips and tools are published in books and magazine articles.

Our team is really excited about the premier of our PrimeTime for Developers program. You can visit the PrimeTime preview site to find out all about this program. The PrimeTime site has both public information available to everyone, and a "Members Only" section for site developers who pay an annual subscription fee to sign up for the program.

If you have published a personal web page, or plan on doing so, we offer useful guides such as the WebTV Networks Style Guide and HTML Reference through the PrimeTime preview site. If you follow the tips provided there, your pages will look their best for all web surfers! Additionally, there will soon be an official WebTV Networks "badge" available for you to put on your site, letting the world know that "I Watch WebTV".

Within the members-only portion of the PrimeTime for Developers web site, the evangelists provide access to tools, products, services and information on what appeals to the "Net on the set" audience. That's you! Information on the PrimeTime site is updated regularly and PrimeTime members get plenty of time to update their pages before the WebTV Network is upgraded. As a result, PrimeTime member web sites get spiffed-up to deliver an even better surfing experience to WebTV Network users. Soon you will notice a greater variety of information and entertainment plus new types of content available on the web due to the effectiveness of these developers.

So that's what we do! We hope that you continue tuning into Club WebTV as we announce new features and members in the PrimeTime program. If you think that a site could benefit from the information and tools we provide in PrimeTime, then send them an e-mail. This is your Web, and you deserve the very best, so make your voice heard!
