Those of you who are new to the Internet (Net) and the World Wide Web (Web) may not be familiar with 'Netiquette - minding your manners while sending e-mail and communicating in general on the Internet. This column will provide you with some helpful hints for proper on-line communicating. Of course, should you have any questions about what you should or shouldn't do while interacting with others on-line, please e-mail us at clubwebtv@corp.webtv.net.
First, a few definitions:
| 'Netspeak | on-line jargon |
| 'Netiquette | behaving with proper etiquette while on-line |
| Newbie | a novice web surfer |
| 'Netitude | a smug attitude practiced by some Web
surfers |
| Flame | an angry e-mail message that is sent in response to an unpopular opinion. (Flaming is a violation of 'Netiquette) |

Finally, a word of advice:
When sending or receiving e-mail messages, capital letters are used to communicate shouting. Therefore, avoid typing your message in all upper case letters unless you intend to yell.
