For this first issue, please enjoy some of the fun and interesting e-mail messages we've received from WebTV users around the country.

It's been 10 days since we have purchased our Sony Internet terminal. Wanted to let you know we are enjoying it greatly. You have a winner! Last year I was able to use a Mac for a while and while I enjoyed it also, I could not justify spending a thousand dollars since we primarily wanted to use it for the web. Also it is great to be able to make it a family experience around our 25" television , rather than try to crowd around a smaller monitor atop a desk. Great job with the picture! Can't wait to see what the future brings.

Subject: What a great idea!!
I personally would like to thank your company for bringing this kind of technology to the market. It truly is a brilliant idea. Using the computer as a medium for the Internet is not a very practical idea due to the ever-changing world of computer technology. But accessing the Internet through television......Now that's an ingenious idea since probably 99% of the households in America own a television set.

Again I would like to extend my gratitude to all the technician and support teams in Webtv.

This is a dumb question... but... does that music that plays during the dialup sequence have a name? It's a pretty catchy riff.

I actually do a dance with my infrared keyboard as I wait for the connection....

Just curious....

...I am on paternity leave, and have had my work e-mail forwarded here. I may just spend the next 2 weeks on the sofa with my new son and the WebTV keyboard!

Dear Mr. Perlman,

Thank you very much for the message you sent me! I'm new on the Internet but all ready I'm having a lot of fun!! I'm in the 6th grade and as my teachers say "Its the year for working on computers" .Even though I don't have a computer I'm able to use the Internet in a different way.
